June is in full swing, and this months Discovery Counseling newsletter highlights the serious
importance of mental health and well-being. With it being Veteran suicide and PTSD awareness
month, as well as Pride month, we felt it was a good time to share some information about the
negative effects of built up stress followed by the positive impacts that can come from both
physical and mindfulness exercises! We also added a list of recommended mental health resources
that anyone can look into or feel free to call us for more information on. If you or a loved one are
struggling with mental health issues, especially thoughts of self harm, please call 911 or the
suicide prevention lifeline at 800-273-8255 as soon as possible.
