Hello, we hope everyone has had a good month so far! November has multiple important
awareness events, so we picked 3 topics to highlight. The first topic is Hunger and Homelessness Awareness week, which is a program that seeks to draw attention to the problems of hunger and homelessness in this country and how to create solutions by holding fundraisers and educational advocacy events. The next topic is No Drink November, which is one of many month long alcohol-free themed challenges (Sober October, Dry December etc). These challenges are great opportunities to reset your mind and body and maybe even break an unhealthy drinking habit! There are support groups on Facebook for these challenges. We also included a short list of the many benefits to removing alcohol for a month or more! The last topic we covered is International Stress Awareness Week, which focuses on stress management and campaigning against the stigmas associated with stress and mental health issues. Stress management has become exceedingly more important over the last few years! Positive thinking and mindfulness practices are two fantastic ways to combat stress.
